Dekoboko

Dekoboko -Kanji 凸凹- japanese for unevenness or bumpiness.

Dekoboko is the name of the collection of accessoires made by combining the traditional japanese handcraft Shibori with other ways of textile refinement.

I designed the dekoboko scarf while learning shibori over two years at the place of origin Arimatsu/ Japan. Every single piece of this collection is made by hand and unique. The organic shapes their arrangement and the lightness of the fabric are building an special design.

The Dekoboko scarf is made out of fabric from overproduction in the industry and also fullfilling the circular fabric standard. I am trying to work on more sustainable fashion.
